Future Chefs! Are you a flavour connoisseur, someone who simply enjoys cooking, or an artist with food? Prepare for a culinary adventure designed exclusively for talented 10 to 13 year-olds aspiring to be future chefs in the world of hospitality. You have the chance to win one of just 12 spots in our prestigious 6-week Future Chefs Cookery Course, usually priced at £150, making it an exceptional opportunity!
What you can win
In addition to winning the fully-funded six-week course, winners will receive and be able to keep an apron, paring knife, peeler, skull cap and a Victorinox 15cm knife.
How to enter
The Junior Chef Competition is open from Wednesday 12 November 2025 to Monday 5 January by 9am.

If you are chosen as one of our lucky winners, you’ll work in a professional commercial kitchen, refine your culinary skills, and get a glimpse of the hospitality world. It’s a chance to ignite your culinary passion and take the first step towards your dream career.
When the course will run and what you’ll cook
The 6-week cookery course will start in February 2026, and takes place at Edmunds, West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds. You will need to be available Saturday morning from 9:15am to 12:15pm on the following dates.

- Induction, Floured Baps, Tomato and Basil Soup
- Saturday 7th March 2026
- Burger Baps
- Saturday 14th March 2026
- Apple Pie and Custard
- Saturday 21st March 2026
- Teriyaki Salmon and Teriyaki Sauce
- Saturday 28th March 2026
- Chocolate Brownies and Vanilla Ice Cream
- Saturday 18th April 2026
- Students to cook and serve a two-course lunch for parents and family or invited guests
