Burns Night Extravaganza i organised a party of 24, mainly Long Melford silver tops, to travel to the Burns Night feature menu at the Edmunds Room. Our charabanc got lost in the darkness of the West Suffolk College complex but a 'phone call to Claire, the head honcho, soon had her outside and guiding us in. We were met at the entrance by very polite students who took our coats and showed us to our tables. We had pre-ordered our choices from the menu and place cards with those choices were on the table with wine also there ready to consume. My Haggis starter was excellent and the others on my table said their choices were also to a very high standard. I chose the pheasant main course which came as a surprise, shaped as a cylindrical piece of meat with an outer oat crust. Delicious!. Then the finish for me was the Whisky & chocolate Cremeux. if you go there and it's on the menu you have just got to have it! All our party had something different from the menu and all said their choices were excellent. I sat next to the only vegetarian in our party and her main dish was something she had never had in a restaurant before. She thoroughly enjoyed it. To sum up, the students were very efficient , friendly and attentive, Claire watched over her charges with great efficiency to the point where we asked for all students to come forward for a standing ovation from the group. We will return!

Absolutely beautiful! What a lovey evening.. great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, helpful and very attentive. We went for the Vegan plant based food and we were not let down! Absolutely beautiful food! Couldn’t fault a single course! Wine was lovely too which was great and complemented the food, really reasonably priced. Would highly recommend if you haven’t tried!

Christmas lunch We had a delicious Christmas dinner that was handled with professionalism and calm given how quickly restaurants have to deal with an ever changing world during the pandemic. In this instance we were a team of NHS staff that was told 2.5 hours before our meal not to meet face to face any longer to reduce staff having to isolate. Chef Austin and his team provided our meals as take aways and we all hope to return when we have the all clear and enjoy your lovely food sitting down. Thank you so much for accommodating us - I hope we will laugh at this in years to come! What a memory.

Excellent Evening Yet again excellent food prepared to a very high standard. So nice to see the youngsters learning their trade in real world conditions. We’ve signed up for several more events and am sure they will just as good.

Private catering for family party I was fortunate enough to attend a family party catered by the team here at Edmunds and it was easily the best home catering I have ever experienced. It was a special birthday and the food certainly fitted the brief - delicious grazing food presented with flair. We all spent about ten minutes photographing the table because it looked so good! The quality of the food surpassed what you ordinarily receive in top restaurants and there was more than enough to go around - we all went back for seconds. The desserts were even better. I couldn’t recommend these guys enough and I’ve already discussed using them again for future family get togethers. Nothing was too much for Claire and Rob who took time to explain each dish - you both did a fantastic job! Thanks so much for making a special day even more memorable!

Special Evening Our first visit to Edmunds Restaurant was a very memorable experience for us both. Everyone is very polite and also warm in welcoming us into the restaurant. Very high standard of food and service, We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again in the very near future.

Excellent Fine dining experience The quality of food served by these young and gifted students really and honestly can be compared to a top class Michelin listed restaurant.

I even came away with the recipe for our outstanding clam chowder recipe !! Another excellent even with great food and exceptional service. Having visited many times now its become our " go to place" for fine dining. The students never fail us with the quality and variety of the food and the excellent front of house service.
